  1. Bok Tower Gardens

Inspiring Lake Ashton residents and visitors with Olmsted gardens, a majestic bell tower, carillon concerts and the Pinewood Mansion, Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales features daily concerts, nature walks and special events. Bok Tower Gardens is a National Historic Landmark.

  1. Frank Lloyd Wright Collection

The Florida Southern College campus located in Lakeland contains the world’s largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012. The Center also acts as a home for visiting exhibits on loan from various other Wright sites.

  1. Theatre

For great theatrical performances try Polk County community theatres such as the Ramon Theater in Frostproof, Lakeland Community Theatre in Lakeland, Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Lake Wales Little Theatre, Haines City Community Theatre and Theatre Winter Haven. The Lion King Experience and Guys and Dolls Jr. begin at the Theatre of Winter Haven with daily shows, June 23rd- – June 25th. Tickets are $5.00.

  1. Imperial Symphony Orchestra Concert

This community orchestra is comprised of volunteer musicians, who inspire audiences with live classical music performances of symphonic music held primarily at The Lakeland Center and Florida Southern College. The Imperial Symphony Orchestra holds a unique place in the cultural life of Central Florida.

  1. Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Show

The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team was reestablished in 2012 by former employees who wanted to pass the legacy to the next generation. Monthly free shows take place on Lake Silver the third Saturday.  A special 4th of July celebration event will take place July 3rd.  The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and the ski show begins at 7:00 p.m.

  1. Detroit Tigers Spring Training and Lakeland Flying Tigers

The 2017 season marked the 81st season of the Tigers using Joker Marchant Stadium as their spring training home. Lakeland’s Minor League Baseball team, the Lakeland Flying Tigers, uses the stadium in the summer.   Today, fans, players and management are enjoying the newly renovated stadium, new administration and clubhouse building, scoreboard and weight room.
